Double-Coated Tape Eliminates Need for Welds or Screws During Assembly

ADDISON, IL, January 11, 2007 - Whether it is being used in window construction, auto manufacturing, P.O.P. displays or countless other assembly applications, Pres-OnĀ® Pres-Mount double-coated foam tape provides a secure, economical means for OEMs to mount and fasten materials, oftentimes eliminating the need for spot welds, screws and glue.

Industrial strength Pres-MountĀ® tape adheres instantly, even when bonding rigid materials to irregular surfaces, providing long-lasting adhesion, gap filling, and uniform stress distribution. In addition, the foam cushions joints against shock while dampening sound and vibration, plus acts as an effective thermal seal between cold metals and warmer plastics.

Pres-Mount double-sided tapes are offered in urethane, vinyl and neoprene/EPDM/SBR foam to match virtually every mounting and fastening requirement. An extensive range of thicknesses, densities, colors and widths are available from Pres-On, including tapes that can be custom die-cut to form a gasket.

Acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive is standard for Pres-Mount tapes, but others can be manufactured to suit unique substrate and temperature requirements.
