Military Grade LCDs include EMI protection.


January 8, 2007 - With shock and vibration safeguards, DiamondVue Xtreme Series adapts to extreme environmental conditions. Units come in 6.4-21.3 in. sizes and can be equipped with resistive or capacitive touchscreen. Displays include optically bonded laminated PVB front protective glass with EMI coating. Integrated heaters at rear of panel extend operational temperature, while conformal coating on all internal circuit boards and exterior metalwork protects against humidity and salt.

VarTech Xtreme Series Rugged Military Grade LCDs with Electromagnetic Interference Protection


Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA January 2007 - VarTech Systems, Inc. has introduced the DiamondVue Xtreme Series. With enhanced shock and vibration safeguards, these rugged military grade displays have been developed to easily adapt to extreme environmental conditions. The optically bonded LCD was specifically engineered to withstand harsh ambient environments, and the display has full Electromagnetic Environmental Interference protection.

The Xtreme series is available in 6.4" to 21.3" display sizes. A variety of mounting options such as panel, wall and rack are also available. Brightness and resolution vary depending on the display size. Each display is standard with an anti-reflective, protective faceplate. Your display can be equipped with either a resistive or capacitive touch screen. Displays are optionally available in NEMA 4X (IP66) stainless steel panel mounts.

The DiamondVue Xtreme Series displays meet the following requirements:

o General Truck Vibration (Non Operating, in package)
o Tactical Transportation Vibration (Non Operation, un-damped equipment)
o Tactical Transportation Vibration (Non Operation, damped equipment)
o Transit drop - MIL-STD-810F, Method 516.5, Procedure IV
o Bench Handling - MIL-STD-810F, Method 516.5, Procedure VI
o Road Shock - Half Sine, 15Gpeak, 5 msec - MIL-STD-810F, Method 516.5, Procedure I

Standard Features of the DiamondVue Xtreme series:
o Conformal Coating of all internal circuit boards and exterior metalwork for added protection against humidity, salt, etc.
o High-end Condor power supply
o Optically bonded laminated PVB front protective glass with EMI coating (optional touch screen available)
o Integrated circuits for added EMI protection per MIL-STD-810F
o Integrated heaters at the rear of the LCD panel for extended operational temperature capabilities (optional heaters at the front of the LCD)
o Full-Range Dimming to black
o The use of far superior adhesive on all connectors and screws/nuts for added shock & vibration protection and resistance to humidity
o Each unit is shock and vibration tested (optional individual thermal and humidity testing available)
