Process Control System provides automated part containment.
January 4, 2007 -
Offering entry-level system for molders, eDART flx includes automatic sensor recognition and scaling, auto-zeroing of cavity pressure sensors, and automatic job selection. It can detect processing issues such as short shots or flash before mold opens, allowing user to set up containment procedures for failsafe part segregation. With eDART flx, molding problems can be analyzed by interpreting cycle and summary graph data to determine course of action to minimize inconsistencies.

RJG Introduces The New eDART flx
RJG is introducing their new eDART flx process control system for molders looking for an affordable; entry level system that provides automated part containment.
The eDART flx offers many of the same features of RJG's original eDART such as; automatic sensor recognition and scaling, auto-zeroing of cavity pressure sensors, automatic job selection and simple, robust hook-ups (no mix-up of inputs or complicated cabling). The eDART flx can detect processing issues such as short shots or flash before the mold even opens, allowing the user to set up containment procedures for failsafe part segregation. By eliminating some of the more advanced features of the original eDART, RJG can offer the eDART flx for approximately 45% less than the original eDART, making it one of the most affordable systems on the market today.
eDART flx provides users with the ability to view in-cavity behavior such as pressure and temperature, in order to detect inconsistencies. Molding problems can be analyzed quickly by interpreting cycle and summary graph data to determine a course of action to minimize these inconsistencies. In addition, automated part sorting strategies can be implemented to segregate bad parts from good, without having to manually hand sort each part. Data collected from the eDART flx allows processors to set stringent alarm bands to catch any inconsistencies and contain them. To ensure proper part diversion, the eDART flx software can be set to control the timing of conveyors, flippers or robots. Users can even set-up three-way sorting to segregate good, bad and suspect parts.
As customers realize the value of the eDART flx capabilities, they may want more options. For this reason RJG has made the eDART flx fully upgradeable to the functionality of a standard eDART.
With RJG's proven software, ease of set-up, robustness and affordable price, there isn't a better value for ensuring quality to the customer. Best of all, RJG's expertise and world class customer support are still included with every system.
