Tiger Truck Introduces Largest Capacity Off-Road Truck

DALLAS, Dec. 15 // - Tiger Truck began deliveries of the Champ 4500 today. This full-sized truck has a true useful load of more than 3,300 lbs. The cargo bed of the 2-door standard cab model is a generous 103" x 62" with no wheel hump and is easily the largest capacity bed in the category. A drive-away Champ starts at $12,995 MSRP.

There are two models of the Champ. The 2-door standard cab has two bucket seats and ample leg and head room for even the largest occupants. Also available is a 4-door crew cab with an easily accessible bench seat in back for when typical tasks involve moving more crew members than heavy materials, but still having abundant capacity for tools and equipment.

In unveiling the new Champ, Mike Ward, President of Tiger Truck, said that he is "particularly pleased to be the first in class to deliver these full-sized trucks at mini-truck prices. Our larger Fleet Managers have been asking for a strong full-sized off-road truck with high fuel efficiency. While the Champ, like our other vehicles, exceeds all highway requirements, Fleet Managers consider it a bonus that these vehicles will not be licensed to be driven off-site resulting in major reductions in insurance rates, associated unauthorized operating costs and concerns for their after-hours whereabouts."

These robust trucks are equipped with all expected standard features for comfort and driving ease: multispeed windshield wipers, heater/defroster, AM/FM radio with multi-speaker sound, 5-speed transmission, hydraulic brakes (front disc, rear drum), turn signals, three brake lights, Hi/Lo headlights, parking lights, and more. Among the available options are: air conditioning, automatic transmission, E85 engine operation and a variety of special-purpose bed configurations.

For the first time Tiger will be directly competing against the long-entrenched big auto industry, and says Ward, "we are confident in our superior position of lower acquisition costs, lower operating costs, higher capacities, exemplary parts support system and strong local dealer maintenance performance. Tiger is committed to being nimble and responsive to changing market requirements. We know that delivering the best value will always trump a simply familiar name."
