Low Voltage Brackets Make Installation Easier

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Dec. 1, 2006) - Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring devices and home systems, today announced its new, complete line of Low Voltage Brackets, for use with mounting class 2 low-voltage devices.

P&S developed the Low Voltage Brackets with contractor feedback and teamed up with sister company On-Q/Legrand, an industry leader in low voltage devices, in the design process, ensuring that the new product line would meet the demands of any low voltage application and exceed installers' expectations.

The Brackets incorporate reinforcement ribs to minimize racking, side stabilizer tabs, cable tie ports to hold cable during trim-out, countersink holes to prevent wallboard bow, and the Quick Click® system to secure the devices easily without stripping out.

"The Low Voltage Brackets offer premium installation and height alignment features for mounting the devices next to adjacent switches. They also offer the widest openings in the industry, for large devices like volume controls," said Tom Roy, Product Manager at P&S. "We leveraged 30 years of experience designing boxes into this new product line, and we believe it will stand the test of time in a rapidly evolving low voltage industry."

The Brackets can be mounted in new and old work applications, with or without Quick Click. New work Brackets come in nail-on, face-mount and screw-on styles, and metallic swing brackets are available for old work. The Brackets are colored bright green to be easily distinguishable from line voltage boxes and some can be used in dual voltage applications.
