New Bosch Hole Saw Adapters Convert Standard Cups to Innovative Power ChangeŽ System
Mount Prospect, Ill., December 4, 2006 - The new specially designed Power ChangeŽ Hole Saw System Adapter, from Bosch Power Tools and Accessories, converts all major brand standard hole saw cups for use with the time-saving and efficient Bosch Power Change Hole Saw System. The only system on the market with a one-size-fits-all quick-change mandrel, the innovative Power Change System offers optimal sawing performance combined with quick and easy cup and plug removal.
For any professional, keeping track of all the different hole saws and mandrel components collected over the years from manufacturers is challenging. But with the new Bosch Power Change Adapter, professionals can throw out all the extra components and simplify their life and toolbox. The new adapter set includes six adapters to convert any standard hole saw ranging in size from 9/16-inch up to 3-inches to work with the Bosch Power Change mandrel.
The adapter quickly screws onto the cup and then snaps into the universal Power Change mandrel, which accepts all the adapters, thus eliminating the need for multiple mandrels and simplifying the system. The heavy-duty hex drive design ensures that hole saws quickly lock positively into place, unlike conventional threaded systems, which can seize up and force parts to stick together. The patent pending drive system offers tighter tolerances for less wobble/vibration and better hole quality. And instead of unscrewing the cup from the tool, users simply pull back on the mandrel for a quick release, which also conveniently removes the newly cut plug from the cup. The new adapter can stay on the cup permanently.
The system features a 1/4-inch hex shank Pilot Bit, which eliminates the need for set screws, Allen wrenches, and screwdrivers. Any 1/4-inch hex shank accessory needed on the job - screwdriver bits, spade bits, nut drivers, etc. - is compatible with the Power Change Mandrel.
