All New Power Analyzers Use New Architecture to Provide Faster Performance and More Precise Measurement Accuracy at a Lower Price Tag
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS: Newtons4th has introduced a completely new generation of Power Analyzers, featuring new architecture yielding the best accuracy and precision over the highest frequency range, at a price tag well below that of competition. The Newtons4th PPA2500 KinetiQ power analyzer series measures power, phase, harmonics, and impedance, and provides a true RMS multimeter as well as real-time digital, tabular, graphic and oscilloscope displays. Offered in single, two and three channel models, (up to six channels in a master/slave mode with an additional unit), the KinetiQ features high-speed sampling on all channels, and an optional LAN (Ethernet) interface in addition to standard serial and USB PC interface ports. The unit provides the broadest range of external current and voltage inputs available: 100mApk to 300Apk (30Arms), 1Vpk to 3000Vpk (1000Vrms), and DC, as well as standard torque and speed inputs. This easy to use unit offers single button access to all measurement modes. Basic accuracy is 0.04% within the frequency range of 10mHz to 2MHz. Common mode rejection exceeds -130dB@100kHz. Phase accuracy exceeds 5 millidegrees.
The KinetiQ measures Wac, Wdc, Vac, Vpk, Vrms, Vdc, Aac, Apk, Asurge, Arms, Adc, VA, VAr, PF, CF, frequency, phase, impedance, harmonics (to the 76th), THD, TIF, and THF, and offers full real-time integration and data logging. Simple BNC connections of N4L wideband shunts are offered for higher current applications. RS232 serial and USB interfaces are standard, as are Torque and Speed ports. IEEE488 and an Ethernet LAN ports are available options.
KinetiQ is exceptionally useful to designers of electronic devices ranging from power supplies and lighting ballasts to microwaves and motor drives. The trend to design more efficient devices at ever higher conversion frequencies is driving the need for power measurement instruments with much greater high frequency accuracy, which is fulfilled by the all new PPA2500 series KinetiQ power analyzers.
