Designed for cutting bevels and weld preps in material, Psy-Winder 5-axis abrasive waterjet cutting head features fixed mechanical tool tip, capacity of 12-24 in. vertical travel on Z axis, and cutting angle from 0° vertical to 90° horizontal. User can install up to 9 cutting heads on one cross beam with single X-Classic controller. Speeds can be up to 2,000 in./min depending on waterjet system.

The Psy-Winder ~ for complex 5-axis parts
WARDJet - Tallmadge, Ohio - August 13, 2009 -WARDJet has released the new Psy-Winder 5-axis abrasive waterjet cutting head. Improvements include a height and crash sensor option, fixed mechanical tool tip (no kinematic model), greater range of travel (capacity of 12" to 24" vertical travel on Z axis) and cutting angle from 0° vertical to 90° degrees horizontal.
5-axis cutting is the perfect solution for cutting bevels and weld preps in material. Software makes it fast and easy to program bevels on parts or to allow for taper compensation to virtually eliminate the taper commonly found on parts cut by a waterjet. Post processors are available for both 2D and 3D CAM software.
Up to 9 Psy-Winder 5-axis cutting heads can be installed on one cross beam with a single X-Classic controller (which can be retrofitted to all past WARDJet systems and to most other waterjet systems).
