November 21, 2006 - Featuring universal input voltage of 108-305 V, Electronic Ballasts are compatible with most infrared-based remote control applications as well as multiple lamp wattages and multiple number of lamps, including D, Twin Tube, Quad Tube, Triple Tube, and Circline lamps. Units are available with bottom or side entry terminal blocks and include color-coded connectors. Auto restart function and internal fuse maintain ballasts' circuit integrity.

American Ballast Develops Energy-Efficient Electronic Compact Fluorescent Ballast


FREMONT, CA (November 15, 2006) - American Ballast, a global commercial and residential power electronic lighting solutions company with worldwide manufacturing capabilities, has developed a full range of energy-efficient, electronic ballasts for compact fluorescent lamp applications.

All models feature universal input voltage - 108-305 volts - and are compatible with most infrared based remote control applications. The compact fluorescent ballast line is compatible with multiple lamp wattages and multiple numbers of lamps including "D", Twin Tube, Quad Tube, Triple Tube and Circline lamps; making it ideal for a wide variety of compact fluorescent applications. The versatile ballasts are also available with bottom or side entry terminal blocks and feature simplified wiring with color-coded connectors to ensure wiring accuracy, significantly lowering assembly and installation time.

"The simplified wiring and multi-lamp capabilities make retrofitting magnetic fluorescent ballast with new, energy-efficient electronic fluorescent ballasts convenient and easy as well as significant increase in lamp life. In addition, our compact fluorescent ballast are designed to work in 90° hot spot applications. The compact fluorescent ballast family boasts an auto restart function and an internal fuse that maintains the ballasts' circuit integrity, both of which significantly enhance the products' reliability for safe operation.

Designed for use in Energy StarŪ compliant fixtures, the compact fluorescent ballast product family meets FCC Non- Consumer rules and regulations, ANSI requirements, and complies with all applicable state and federal efficiency standards.
