Bowed Handle installs without screws or tools.

November 21, 2006 - Incorporating D-SNAP technology, SNAP-LINE Bowed Handle functions as both handle and latch, eliminating need to use separate products. Spring-loaded wings are inserted into channel in handle housing. As wings retract after passing through cutout, SNAP-LINE handle is held securely in place, even in severe vibration applications. Constructed of zinc die-cast, handle can be used for right- or left-hand applications and for horizontal or vertical doors.

Bowed Handle Installs 'In A Snap' Without Screws or Tools

Save up to 90% of hardware installation time.

CHANTILLY, VA -- DIRAK, a global innovator in latches, locks, handles and hinges, has further expanded its extensive product offerings to include a bowed handle that incorporates D-SNAP Technology. This product functions as both a handle and a latch, eliminating the need to use two separate products. Prior to D-SNAP Technology, screws were required to secure handles on cabinets. Handles incorporating D-SNAP Technology, marketed under the SNAP-LINE brand, are simply snapped into place on the prepared panel. D-SNAP Technology dramatically speeds up the installation process, because no screws, nuts or tools are needed. This saves up to 90 percent of hardware installation time.

The dual function of this product (handle and latch combined in one product) is ideal for use with many types of sheet metal cabinets. They can be equipped with a cylinder key mechanism or an insert for special tools. Inserts come in a variety of head styles, making them adaptable for various tool openings to meet different levels of security requirements. For additional safety, the SNAP-LINE bowed handle comes with a clip for grounding.

What makes SNAP-LINE handles so unique is a set of spring-loaded wings that are inserted into a channel in the handle housing. As the wings retract after passing through the cutout, the SNAP-LINE handle is held securely in place, even in severe vibration applications. Strength and durability are comparable to that of products that are installed via traditional assembly methods. The benefit to customers is ease of installation resulting in significant reduction in assembly time. Since the handle does not require mounting hardware (nuts, bolts, screws) the risk of hardware loosening over time and damaging sensitive electronic equipment is eliminated. Different sizes of spring-loaded wings make it possible to use the handle in any sheet metal thickness.

The handle can be used for right-hand or left-hand applications, reducing the need to stock different part numbers for different door configurations. It can also be used for horizontal or vertical doors. The bowed handle is available in zinc die-cast.
DIRAK offers a variety of SNAP-LINE products featuring D-SNAP Technology. Products include: hinges, handles, locks and latches.
