Efficient System Is Quiet, Clean And Won't Clog
Built-In Dust Collection For Latest, High-Swarf Materials
Newark, DE: A new inline swarf handling system from Precision AirConvey, Newark, Del., automatically captures, granulates and removes the troublesome waste material generated during the manufacture, surfacing, finishing and edging of lens blanks, then deposits it into a bag or bin for easy disposal or recycling. Ideal for lens blank manufacturers and manufacturers of lens blank machining equipment as well as for laboratories where lens blanks are machined to prescription specifications, the PAC swarf handling system delivers clog-free performance during the processing of polycarbonate, acrylic, glass and other materials. For high swarf-generators, the PAC system may be fitted with a built-in dust collection system that automatically captures the exceptionally fine particles.
At the heart of the system is the company's inline granulator, a proprietary, rugged design featuring a 180-degree granulation screen that reduces swarf size to 1/8" or less as needed. Its low-profile, sealed bearing design saves space, promotes cleanliness and eliminates the potential for contaminating the facility or the waste material. The PAC swarf handling system may be fitted with built-in sound attenuation devices, a mobility package and a wide range of motors, among other options, to suit virtually any laboratory, facility or application.
