Meeting ATEX IS requirements for hazardous locations, intrinsically safe, shunt-diode barrier Models MTL7706/7787 restrict amount of energy allowed to pass into hazardous areas to prevent ignition of flammable atmospheres. Offering alternative to shunt-diode safety barriers, Models MTL5041/5045 pass signals from transducer in hazardous area to source in safe area, eliminating need for high-integrity earth ground.

NEW! Series MTL Intrinsically Safe Zener Barriers & Galvanic Isolators!
Dwyer Instruments, Inc., the preferred source for your complete range of practical and affordable instrumentation, is announcing the release of its NEW INTRINSICALLY SAFE ZENER BARRIERS & GALVANIC ISOLATORS, for use with IS transmitters.
Compatible with Dwyer Instruments Series 637, 638, 639 and 608 I.S. pressure transmitters, as well as Series 2200 I/P transducers, these new barriers meet ATEX IS requirements for hazardous locations. MTL7706/7787 ($165 and $100, respectively) shunt-diode barriers restrict the amount of energy allowed to pass into hazardous areas, to prevent ignition of flammable atmospheres. Alternative to using a shunt-diode type safety barrier, the MTL5041/5045 ($250 and $220, respectively) passes signals from a transducer in the hazardous area to the source in the safe area, eliminating need for a high-integrity earth ground.
