Kodak Launches New Desktop Scanner Range With The Smallest Footprint In The Industry
Kodak Launches New Desktop Scanner Range With The Smallest Footprint In The Industry
November 2, 2006 - Kodak's landmark i1200 and i1300 Series Scanners - with the industry's smallest footprint and innovative 'Tilt-and-Scan' smart touch software - are now available.
Announced in May and showcased at the Cologne DMS-Expo show (Sep 19-21) the cutting edge desktop range starts at just £551 and ships complete with an unbeatable 'peace of mind' 3 year, next business day advanced unit replacement warranty (in most European countries).
Hauke Fast, Kodak Document Imaging's Product Marketing Manager, said, "It's true. Small is beautiful. These four new scanners come with an outstanding combination of features and performance - and all neatly packed into units that boast the smallest, space-saving footprint in the industry."
"This ergonomically designed range has it all - and the i1220 model has already won AIIM Best of Show honours for a hardware capture product.
Tilt-and-Scan smart touch software and a new optional tethered flatbed unit underline our commitment to bring easy-to-use document imaging solutions to the office environment," he adds.
The new range comprises: simplex (i1210, i1310) and duplex (i1220, i1320) models and all include enhanced PerfectPage image processing technology, for the production of high quality images in both colour and black and white.
The workgroup i1200 Series captures images at speeds of up to 30 pages or 60 images per minute. Its sibling, the departmental i1300 Series, offers a maximum speed of 60 pages or 120 images per minute - the fastest speed in this segment.
The new range also offers:
o Robust aluminium paper-path with a reliable paper separation
o Ultrasonic double feed detection
o Two lamps per CCD-Camera for outstanding image quality
o Kodak's acclaimed PerfectPage image processing including autorotation based on content and iThresholding
Fast said: "The new 3 year exchange warranty is a 'First' for the industry from Kodak. It's a complete peace of mind package - and extremely cost-efficient."
The i1210 and i1220 are priced at £551 and £826 respectively. The i1310 and i1320 list at £1,100 and £1,651. The optional flatbed will be available from late November.
