Federal Signal Corporation Introduces Quad-color MODEL USIX Hazardous Location UniStat®

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL, October 31, 2006 - Federal Signal Electrical Products Model USIX hazardous location UniStat® is an L.E.D. based, multi-color, single-high status indicator. The quad-color "QC" version of the Model USIX has been reinstated. While the UniStat is still available in tri-color "TC", both models will now offer four different flash patterns. This will allow the "TC" a total of 12 flash/color combinations and the "QC" model 16 flash/color combinations.

This hazardous location status indicator had a previous temperature code (T code) of TA4, which has been improved to a T6 rating; except the Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D which received a T5 rating. The operating temperature has also been improved to -40°C to 66°C. Federal Signal has also reduced current draw on this model, which means energy cost savings to the customer.
