Frictionless Systems move and position heavy loads.

November 6, 2006 - Using 0.005 in. of nearly frictionless air to lift loads, Aero-Planks offer flexible movement and can balance uneven loads with single air-pressure regulator. Units offer omnidirectional movement and can float loads down production lines as weights increase. Since they do not require permanent in-floor fixtures, travel paths can be changed as needed. Options such as operator handles, guide or no-load swivel wheels, and fixed roll chocks are available.

Material Handling and Innovative Assembly line Aero-Planks

Nearly frictionless, omnidirectional movement provides an easier way to move and position heavy loads.

Ideal for Lean Manufacturing. Aero-Planks are capable of easily floating loads down production lines as their weights increase. Need to reconfigure your production travel? Since Aero-Planks don't require any permanent in floor fixtures, travel paths are changed as frequently as needed. Perhaps you need to remove a unit from the production line for repairs or to wait for a part? Float it to the side without slowing down production. Aero-Planks can be used to replace conventional inflexible track, rail or in-floor conveyor systems, as well as casters/wheels.

Aero-Planks are also used in cleanrooms and theatrical applications.

How? Aero-Planks utilize standard compressed shop air to move loads a nearly frictionless film of air, eliminating operator strain and damage to the load or floor while providing omnidirectional maneuverability. By using 0.005 inches of nearly frictionless air to lift the loads, the Aero-Planks offer flexible movement and can balance uneven loads with a single air-pressure regulator that has built-in, easy to use, air-flow controls. The multi-directional movement of the machine while floating on a cushion of air allows the operator to use minimal force, even in tight spaces.

New customizations available to match our customer's needs:
o Operator Handles
o Slide-Mounted Aero-Casters
o Guide or No-load swivel wheels
o Three or more Aero-Casters per plank.
o Manual regulation for each Aero-Caster
o Fixed roll chocks or other interface added to plank top to facilitate integration with load footprint
