Exxonmobil Launches New High-Performance, Neat Cutting And Grinding Fluid Series At Imts 2006
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, September 6, 2006 -- ExxonMobil today announces the introduction of MobilmetŪ 760, a new active, neat cutting and grinding fluid series. Formulated with first-rate base oils and high-performance additives, the Mobilmet 760 series are the ideal lubricants for cutting stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys and tool steel.
The new fluid series was unveiled at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois in booth A-8781.
"ExxonMobil is dedicated to providing today's metal working industry and equipment builders with technologically advanced metal working fluids that help meet production targets," said Katy Howell, Americas Industrial Marketing Advisor, ExxonMobil Lubricants & Specialties. "The development of Mobilmet 760 represents another step in this ongoing commitment and we look forward to launching this new product series at the show."
The Mobilmet 760 series provides excellent lubricity to enhance operational efficiency, providing a better cooling of work pieces, increased feed rates and better fines removal.
In addition, the new neat cutting and grinding fluids exhibit excellent anti-wear properties to help minimize unscheduled maintenance and extend component service life. Maintenance can also garner additional cost savings by employing these chlorine-free fluids to reduce disposal costs.
Offered in three different viscosity grades, the Mobilmet series products are specifically designed to withstand the rigors of traditionally difficult applications such as broaching, gear manufacturing and tapping.
The new heavy-duty fluids are fully compatible with Mobil hydraulic, spindle and slideway oils, which will also be featured in booth A-8781, to help eliminate downtime associated with instances of cross contamination.
