Proliphix Introduces TM220 and TM250 Thermal Management Internet-Enabled Network Thermostats with Independent Sensor Monitoring

WESTFORD, Mass., Oct. 3 -- Proliphix, Inc. today announces the release of its newest Internet-enabled thermostats, models TM220 and TM250, which combine the sophisticated features of the company's Network Thermostat (NT) series with the added capability of independent alarming on two external sensor inputs which can sense temperature or closure of an external relay.

The TM Series Thermostats are ideal for light commercial facilities that require inexpensive remote HVAC management and refrigeration monitoring, such as quick service restaurants, casual dining establishments and convenience stores where product integrity and safety are crucial.

According to Walter Dray, Proliphix's President and CEO, "We developed the TM Series in direct response to feedback from our customers who own and operate quick service restaurants, casual dining establishments and convenience stores and need to remotely monitor refrigerator or freezer operation along with HVAC within their facilities. The added thermal monitoring and contact closure sensing features in our Network Thermostats provide unparalleled capability in a single package. Because of our unprecedented scale of integration, one TM Series Network Thermostat can replace three or more pieces of equipment and significantly reduce total equipment and installation costs over traditional solutions for our light commercial customer-base."

The TM220 and TM250 share identical features, however, the TM250 will also sense and control relative humidity in a single HVAC zone. Pre-defined relative humidity limits may trigger dehumidification by forcing on the air conditioning system or by triggering a relay to actuate an external dehumidifier. The unit will also send e-mail of text message alarms if relative humidity exceeds a pre-defined threshold or falls below a pre-set limit.

Information about the TM220 and TM250 and all of Proliphix's Internet-enabled thermostat products is available at the company's website: http://www.proliphix.com/. Proliphix's Internet Thermostats and power adapters are available from select dealers and distributors nationwide. Commercial installers, private developers, and facilities managers seeking volume purchases and dealer status, should contact Proliphix directly at sales@proliphix.com or 1-866-IPLIVING.

Proliphix, Inc. develops and manufactures Internet-enabled energy management products for use in residential and light commercial applications. The company delivers scalable remote monitoring and control by capitalizing on the proliferation of the Internet and its related technologies.
