United Air Specialists Offers V Series Cartridge Dust Collectors

Three versatile and portable models available to fit any application

CINCINNATI, OH - June 26, 2006 - United Air Specialists' V Series line of versatile and portable cartridge collectors is available in three configurations: a portable system (VP), a downdraft bench (VB) and a self-contained unit (VF). This innovative cartridge dust collection system's versatility allows it to work effectively in a wide range of processes including metalworking, grinding, blending, filling, packaging and more.

The V Series captures contaminants at the source with a parabolic swing arm, downdraft table or ducted inlet, which are then collected by a cartridge filter. Once the contaminants are filtered out, clean air continues through the system and is re-circulated back to the work area.

While air is being filtered, a filter cleaning cycle also takes place. As the cartridge fills with dust, compressed air is "blasted" through its center. This pressure dislodges dust from the filter, pushing it into a dust drawer for easy disposal.

By removing dangerous contaminants before they settle on floors, land on sensitive machinery or are inhaled, the V Series prevents accidents, expensive machine repairs and OSHA violations, which saves valuable time and money.

The Portable System
The V Series portable dust collector, model VP, is designed for applications where large pick-up hoods are impractical, where dust and smoke-producing machinery is used intermittently and where employees move from one work station to another. By positioning the swing arm directly over the source, it removes harmful contaminants before they enter a worker's breathing zone.

The Downdraft Bench
The V Series downdraft bench, model VB, is specifically designed for applications where workers need an integrated collection area and work surface that also draws contaminants away from the breathing zone. The VB model is ideal for grinding and finishing operations of small parts and components. Its heavy-duty work surface supports up to 75 pounds per square foot.

The Self-Contained System
Ideal for ducted applications, the VF model is an economical and efficient removal system. The VF system's small cabinet makes it easy to position close to the dust source, saving valuable floor space.

Available with a wide selection of high-efficiency filters, the V Series offers fire retardant, wide pleat, washable, spun-bond polyester, PTFE and more. It comes with an auto-cleaning function that automatically cleans the filter after the unit is shut off. For a fast, tool-free filter replacement, the V Series comes assembled with a pressure gauge that indicates when the filter needs replaced.

The V Series system offers a unique acoustic sound attenuation to ensure a quiet operation with sound levels below 82 dBA.
