Speedline Technologies to Introduce SpeedVision(TM) Inspection and Traceability Options for the MPM AccelaŽ at ATExpo
ROSEMONT, Ill., Sept. 25 -- Speedline Technologies, the global leader in process knowledge and expertise for the PCB assembly and semiconductor packaging industries, announces the demonstration of SpeedVision -- its new high-speed inspection system for the award-winning MPM Accela stencil printer, at Assembly Technology Expo (ATExpo) from September 26 to 28 in Rosemont, IL. Speedline will show this innovative inspection sub-system, in addition to product traceability and process verification options.
"These options continue to enhance the flexibility and functionality of our Accela printers to better serve customer process requirements. In the SpeedVision demo at ATExpo, we will demonstrate this fast and effective inspection method in concert with the Accela's patented parallel processing. This is a really exciting advance in printing process technology in both the quality and throughput/performance areas," said Bob Boyes, Product Marketing Manager for the Speedline MPM Accela line.
Designed with manufacturers requiring high-volume throughput and high-yield performance in mind, SpeedVision delivers quantified measurements of freshly printed paste deposits. Built upon the patented texture-based inspection algorithms used in both the BridgeVision(R) and StencilVision(TM) products, SpeedVision's innovative camera system manages both the gantry motion and the field of view to perform quantitative 2D inspection of either/both the substrate and stencil at line speed.
SpeedVision then reports the inspection results data to SPC (including BridgeVision(R) and StencilVision(TM) inspection). At ATExpo, Speedline Technologies will also demonstrate the latest in bar code traceability and process verification, including:
o Collating SPC and inspection data to unique bar code values for substrate traceability
o Capturing and recording multiple bar codes on multi-up panels; in short, discrete assembly tracking!
o Collecting bar code values with handheld readers to ensure correct and complete program, process, substrate and consumable synchronization; then utilizing these data during operation to ensure process verification for each assembly
For customers who seek fast and automated methods for improving process control, an Accela outfitted with SpeedVision is a must-see at this year's ATExpo. Witness the next great leap forward in printing at the Speedline Technologies booth ATExpo, #5702.
