New Power Lathe Chuck ROTA NCFplus

SCHUNK Inc. has introduced a new generation of the power lathe chuck ROTA NCFplus. This lathe chuck features an integrated centrifugal force compensation enabling to machine at high speeds.

Compared to its predecessor, the chuck bore of the ROTA NCFplus has been enlarged to cover the diameters of common raw materials. In order to produce optimum guiding conditions, a multiple-tooth guide has been integrated in the base jaws.

Also new for this chuck family is the modular centre sleeve system, which makes the chuck even more flexible. The standard sleeve can be quickly replaced from the front. The user can then choose between a sleeve with a workpiece stop, central coolant or an ejector.

The chuck body is hardened and weight-optimized. This guarantees a long tool life and high accuracy during daily use. Thanks to its reduced weight, the chuck can be economically accelerated to high speeds. All functional parts in the chuck are hardened and ground. An additional seal in the piston area prevents the ingress of coolants in the chuck body.

The power chuck ROTA NCFplus is available for all CNC lathes in the sizes 185, 215, 260 and 315 mm.
