Tool Presetters come with vision system.

September 12, 2006 - Using EZclick menu operation, EZset400 (X=400, Z=400) and EZset600 (X=400, Z=600) operators can select all functions of ImageController1 vision system software. Automatic cutting edge shape recognition and dynamic crosshairs facilitate presetting and measuring procedure. Along with measuring programs to determine concentricity, run out, and highest cutting edge, machines incorporate zero-point monitoring function to avoid machine crashes.

Presetting Tools Fast and Easy

Presetting tools simply and independent of the operator. The new tool presetters EZset400 and EZset600 with vision system increase productivity in metal cutting manufacturing by 15 % annually.

Highlight is" EZclick", a unique intuitive menu operation: All functions of the ImageController1 vision system software are selected with this turn-push-button. The tool cutting edge and the measuring menu are clearly represented on a 6.5" flat panel monitor. The automatic cutting edge shape recognition and the dynamic crosshairs make the presetting and measuring procedure easy. Measuring programs to determine concentricity, run out and the highest cutting edge are already integrated. An additional highlight is the machine-zero-point-monitoring function which avoids machine crashes. Cutting edge inspection in incident light to detect wear and brake out at the tool cutting edge is standard.

Further highlights are the 4 x 90° spindle indexing, the 360° spindle brake and the integrated calibration edge on the tool holding fixture. EZset comes in two sizes of measuring range EZset400 (X=400, Z=400) and EZset600 (X=400, Z=600).
