Suited for highly sensitive electronic components, VpCI(TM)-125 Film and Bags contain blend of Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitors and ultra-high ESD chemistries, providing dual-purpose protection. Cortec® Corporation has recently introduced a unique corrosion protection solution for highly sensitive electronic components that are vulnerable to electrostatic damage and corrosion. VpCI(TM)-125 ESD film and bags exceed "ultra high ESD" criteria ~ dissipating static charges at 1/10* the time required for typical ESD and anti-static films. VpCI(TM)-125 ESD contains a proprietary blend of Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI(TM)) and ultra-high ESD chemistries providing unparalleled dual-purpose protection against corrosion and electro static damage (ESD). Compared to traditional multi-step packaging, that requires barrier film, desiccant, and anti-static packaging, now manufacturers will only need VpCI(TM)-125 ESD film or bags. VpCI-125 ESD film and bags are recommended for packaging of sensitive components where triboelectric charge generation and corrosion are of concern, like integrated circuits, printed circuit boards, PCB components, telecommunication equipment, or electronic/electrical panels. VpCI(TM)-125 ESD utilizes Cortec's revolutionary VpCI(TM) technology and provides outstanding corrosion protection for steel, copper, aluminum, brass, solder, silver, nickel, and various plated substrates without interfering with the physical and chemical properties of the metals or the electronic components.
