Ometric Introduces SpectrInline Pharma Version 1.1(TM) with Auto-Calibration Technology for Process Spectroscopy

COLUMBIA, S.C., Aug. 17 -- Industrial spectroscopy innovator Ometric Corporation has successfully installed and implemented the first upgrade of its patented SpectrInline Processware(TM).

This upgrade, called SpectrInline Pharma Version 1.1(TM), is a groundbreaking first-generation implementation of an auto-calibration technology that enables, over periods of time, signal stability that is orders of magnitude greater than that of traditional spectrometers. Pharma Version 1.1 has shown excellent in-line blending results, detecting concentrations of less than 0.25 percent. Pharma Version 1.1 also meets the pharmaceutical industry's intrinsic safety requirements.

SpectrInline Processware(TM) provides real-time, in-line control of industrial production processes and final product testing to a variety of industries. Using Multivariate Optical Computing(TM) (MOC(TM)), the Ometric system performs real-time, in-line testing of tablets, blending of powers and testing of liquids and powders.

Ometric Chief Technology Officer Dr. Robert Freese said it's important to note that Pharma Version 1.1 is not only superior simply in terms of its ability to provide excellent quality control, but also because of its unique Ever-Green(TM) upgrade advantage, which locks in future innovation at today's price.

"The continuing value for customers is that they automatically receive the latest system enhancements for the duration of the license agreement," Freese said. "And there is never a need to replace the system's hardware, which is a process that can be costly and inconvenient with other systems."

About Ometric Corporation

Ometric Corporation provides innovative solutions to embed analytical technology into industrial manufacturing processes. Ometric's SpectrInline Processware(TM) utilizes patented Multivariate Optical Computing(TM) (MOC(TM)) technology to perform spectroscopy at the speed of light, thus providing real- time, in line process control and final product testing to a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, agriculture, food and beverage, environmental, plastics, oil and gas, and homeland security.
