New Spring Plunger Lineup Complements Fixturing Products
Fixtureworks (Fraser, MI), a supplier of Kipp® handles, levers, knobs and hand wheels has announced the addition of the complete lineup of Kipp® Spring Plungers to its extensive product offering of workholding and fixturing technologies. The spring plungers, including both threaded styles and press fit types, are ideal for use in fixturing applications where pressure is required to aide in accurate positioning and indexing of components; to provide simple 'lock and release' actuation; to apply force that helps to disengage or 'lift' workpieces from workholding devices for easier removal; and to provide spring tension for bumper-type cushioning of parts.
The Kipp® Spring Plungers are available in over 590 individual configurations, with ball and pin type plungers, inch (6-32 to 5/8-11) and metric (M3-M16) size, and many are offered in both steel with black oxide finish, or in stainless steel as well as an array of lengths. Other options are balls and pins made of steel, stainless steel and Delrin® along with various insertion methods including slotted drive, hex socket, and top slot (plunger end) style for use in blind hole applications. Light, standard and heavy end force selections are available as are plungers with a Long-Lok® nylon locking thread insert. Press fit plungers feature a thermoplastic or stainless steel body; both with stainless spring and stainless, hardened ball.
In addition to the Kipp® family of products, Fixtureworks is a leading, single-resource for a wide array of fixturing, workholding and accessory components including Imao® clamps, modular fixturing and set-up accessories; OK-Vise® fixturing clamps; Mitee-Bite® low-profile edge clamps; and Fairlane Products® rest pads, grippers, Swivots,® Quick Release Ball Lock Pins and bumpers.
