Stepping Motor Drivers feature current rating over 2 A.
September 26, 2006 -
Toshiba TB6560HQ/FG 2-phase Bipolar Stepping Motor Drivers offer 0.6 W (HQ)/0.75 W (FG) on-resistance through use of BiCD process with thermally dissipative package. Supporting 2-phase/1-2-phase/W1-2-phase/2W1-2-phase excitation modes and forward/reverse mode, units can drive 2-phase bipolar type stepping motors using only clock signal. Input voltage is compatible with 3.3 or 5 V, and motor power supply VM is compatible with 5, 12, or 24 V.

Marktech Introduces Toshiba's 2-phase Bipolar Driving Stepping Motor Drivers with Low On-Resistance and High Thermal Dissipation
Latham, New York: Marktech introduces the Toshiba TB6560HQ/FG 2-phase Bipolar Stepping Motor Drivers. There are very few drivers currently available on the market for 2-phase bipolar stepping motors that have a high current rating in excess of 2A for use in office automation and industrial equipment. Because heat that is generated by a high current can present significant problems for these types of applications Toshiba has developed the new TB6560HQ/FG stepping motor drivers that combine low on-resistance through the use of a BiCD process with thermally dissipative package, making it possible to dramatically reduce heat generation. These new devices also enable micro-step driving in support of microcontroller-less applications using CLKin control. They also support both 2-phase/1-2-phase/W1-2-phase/2W1-2-phase excitation modes and forward/reverse mode and is capable of low-vibration, high-performance driving of 2-phase bipolar type stepping motors using only a clock signal.
