With Model 2779500 resolver-to-digital converter board, users can have ruggedness of resolver and simplicity of digital interface. Model 2779501 converts inductosyn® scale signal to digital signal and interfaces with existing wires so re-wiring is not required. Unit excites slider with sine and cosine excitation and uses phase shifted, pre-amplified scale return to generate A-quad-B signals.

Vega CNC Announces the Release of the 2779500 and 2779501 Series Converter Boards
Resolvers are used in many high performance applications, and now with the Vega Model 2779500 resolver to digital converter board you can have both the ruggedness of a resolver and the simplicity of the a digital interface. The 2779500 may be used with virtually any resolver.
The Vega Model 2779501 converts inductosyn® scale signal to a digital signal. Model 2779501 interfaces with existing wires so re-wiring is not required. The 2779501 excites the slider with a sine and cosine excitation and uses the phase shifted pre-amplified scale return to generate the A-quad-B signals. This means you can use the existing wires and pre-amps. The Vega model 2782500 pre-amp is available for new or replacement applications.
The Vega 2779 series of converter boards come standard with RS-422-A differential drivers. A Quad B is the default configuration with Z channel Index occurring once per transducer cycle.
