New Klein Journeyman 9" Ironworkers' Pliers
Designed for Heavy-Duty Cutting
LINCOLNSHIRE, ILL. - July 2006 - Klein Tools' new Journeyman(TM) 9" Ironworkers' pliers (Cat. No. J2000-9ST) are designed for heavy-duty cutting. The single-grip design provides added comfort without compromising control and has a slim design to fit conveniently into a tool pouch.
Like other Journeyman pliers, the ironworkers' pliers feature a state-of-the-art, dual-material handle design, giving the user a better grip without sacrificing tool strength or durability. The soft, outer-surface light blue handle material combines comfort with a firm grip, while the harder, inner-surface handle material is designed for extra toughness in harsh work environments.
The new Journeyman 9" Ironworkers' pliers have special knurled, spring-loaded jaws for working with annealed rebar tie wire. Heavy-duty cutting knives, which originated in the initial launch of the Journeyman 2000 series, cut ACSR, screws, nails and most hardened wire. The pliers also have an exclusive handle tempering to absorb the "snap" when cutting wire.
According to Jeff Konkle, product manager, Klein Tools, "Klein Tools developed the Journeyman 9" Ironworkers' pliers based on feedback from ironworkers in the field."
