Ingersoll Rand Delivers Enhanced Safety, Performance and Durability with Redesigned Hose Reels

Annandale, NJ - June 28, 2006 - Ingersoll Rand introduces a new line of redesigned, ultra-duty and supreme-duty premium hose reels ideal for many types of environments and applications, including dispensing air, oil, fluid and grease in vehicle service centers and industrial plants, among other places.

Ingersoll Rand hose reels feature the unique Safety-Reel(TM) design, which reduces retraction speed by 80 percent.

"The reels retract at a slow, constant speed, preventing dispensing nozzles or air tools from whipping toward the reel," says Garrett Grega, global marketing manager for Ingersoll Rand. "This translates into greater operator safety by minimizing accidents and personal property damage."

Depending upon the model, these hose reels offer double- or triple-axle support for enhanced strength and stability. The reels also feature adjustable guide arms, which enable versatile mounting positions, such as on walls, floors, overhead ceilings or even off-road service vehicles.

Both types of hose reels are designed with industrial-grade quality and durability, with rolled edges that increase hose life by preventing abrasion. The hose reels are designed with an external fluid path for fast and convenient maintenance. The solid brass external swivel can be easily removed and reduces the chance for leaks, ensuring a cleaner, safer shop environment.

Ultra-duty reels are available in 3/8" and 1/2" inside diameters, 25-, 35- and 50-foot lengths and with maximum ratings of 300, 2,500 and 4,000 psi. Supreme-duty reels are available in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" inside diameters, 35-, 50-, 75- and 100-foot lengths and with maximum ratings of 300, 2,500 and 5,000 psi.
