Structure is made of foam molded in high-density polyethylene, and product features 100% plastic runner system with no steel reinforcement. Fully recyclable at end of service life, containers offer multiple door configurations and self-standing sidewall on long sides. Also available, HD6448 containers measure 64 x 48 in. and come in same heights as HD6248.

ORBIS® Corp. Introduces New 62" x 48" Collapsible Bulk Container that Offers 12% More Usable Space per 53' Truckload
OCONOMOWOC, Wis., June 23,2006 - Today, ORBIS Corporation has introduced the first standard 62" x 48" (HD6248) collapsible bulk container to the marketplace. The HD6248 series, available only from ORBIS, is offered in three heights, including 25", 34" and 50".
It was designed to more efficiently optimize 53' trailers, so more parts can be shipped in fewer trips. Their extended length design accommodates a wider variety of part sizes, shapes and weights. All containers are structurally-foam molded in high-density polyethylene and constructed to efficiently move, store and ship heavy automotive, appliance, furniture and transportation equipment components.
In addition to the HD6248 series, ORBIS introduced a family of three 64" x 48" (HD6448) bulk containers that are fully compatible with all 64" x 48" containers in the marketplace. The HD6448 is also available in 25", 34" and 50" heights.
The HD6248 and HD6448 containers are part of ORBIS' entire BulkPak® product line and offer several key advantages:
100% plastic runner system (no steel reinforcement)
Reduces risk of "short-forking" loads
Eliminates rust debris from contaminating product
Fully recyclable at end of service life
Self-standing sidewall on long sides
Faster assembly/collapse time reduces labor needs
Multiple door configurations
Easy interface with all types of foam and plastic corrugated dunnage
Areas on all four sidewalls to place Cardholders, ID Plates, Placards or Molded-In Logos. ID Plates also available on base of all 50" containers.
