FiveCo Extends its Ethernet Converters Product Line

Launching of a new Ethernet converter box.

Lausanne, June 12, 2005

FiveCo announces the launching of the FMod-TCP BOX module as a complement to the previous OEM versions. It is comprised of an Ethernet converter with digital inputs/outputs, analog digital converters, an I2C bus and an RS232 bus, all of which are integrated into a DIN rail compliant box. The company thus enlarges its product line of Ethernet converters which already includes two OEM versions:

o FMod-TCP
An Ethernet converter integrated onto a 55x43[mm] card which uses a connecting system useful for development.

o FMod TCP DB
An Ethernet converter integrated onto a 55x51[mm] card which uses standard connectors only (DIL 2.54) in order to facilitate its integration to an existing system.

The FMod-TCP product line allows for the integration of devices with TCP/IP networks in order to transfer data or to teleoperate such devices with no distance limit, either through a local network or Internet.

This device uses communication protocols based on Ethernet (TCP-IP, UDP, HTTP) which makes it very easy to interface and develop one's own application. Moreover, the user may also use the embedded web site for testing or configuration phases, among other possibilities.
