Manual flat grip clamp for tensile testers, Catalog No. 508471, suits thin materials with high or low elongation such as paper, textiles, leather, and metals. Steel clamp is 6¾ in. long and weighs 6.8 lb. Maximum opening is 1/4 in. and clamp anvils are 1 x 1, 2 x 2, and 2 x 3 in. interchangeable plus 2 x 3 in. stationary plain, flat.

Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new 500 lb. maximum capacity manual flat grip clamp, Catalog No. 508471. This clamp is ideal for sheet or strip materials with relatively low elongation, such as paper, textiles, leather, and metals. This clamp also works will with thin materials with high elongation. The weight suspended from the load measuring part of the tester should not exceed 10% of the capacity of the tester or load cell.
This clamp is made of steel. The length of each is 6 ¾". Each clamp weighs 6.8 lbs. This clamp has a maximum opening of ¼". The anvils are 1" x 1", 2" x 2" and 2" x 3" interchangeable, plus a 2" x 3" stationary plain, flat.
