Self-contained and ready for use with amplified Ti:sapphire lasers, Jibe White Light Continuum Generator (WLCG) provides broad spectrum for applications where materials' characterization can be improved according to how samples interact with range of colors. Pumped with 0.3 mJ, 100 fs pulses, at 1 kHz repetition rate, Jibe WLCG generates 10 µJ of white light continuum. Spectral coverage is 450-900 nm with sapphire plate and 350-750 nm with CaF2 plate.

White Light Continuum Generator for Femtosecond Lasers
San Diego, CA (May 24, 2006) - Del Mar Photonics, Inc. introduces the Jibe White Light Continuum Generator (WLCG), a new product designed for use with ultrafast lasers. The Jibe WLCG provides a broad spectrum suited for several applications.
The Jibe WLCG is paired with an amplified Ti:sapphire system, such as Del Mar Photonics Wedge Amplifier. A fraction of the incoming 800 nm pulse is used to produce white-light continuum. Pumped with 0.3 mJ, 100 fs pulses, at a 1 kHz repetition rate, the Jibe WLCG generates about 10 µJ of white light continuum. Spectral coverage is 450-900 nm with a Sapphire plate and 350-750 nm with a CaF2 plate.
White light sources are used in a range of applications where materials' characterization can be improved according to how samples interact with a broad range of colors. Applications include femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopy, microscopy, optical pulse compression for generation of ultrashort pulses, optical coherence tomography, providing seed pulses for optical parametric amplifiers, and broadband spectrum lidar. White light can also be used for precise cutting, and micrometer precision in surface measurements.
The Jibe WLCG is completely self-contained and ready for use with amplified Ti:sapphire lasers. It provides an easy solution to broadening the spectrum with existing laser systems.
