Woodhead Unveils 360° High Intensity Work Light for Wide-Angle Visibility at Industrial Worksites

New fully-assembled work light features rugged construction, cool fluorescent lamps, and integral tripod stand for optimum stability, portability, flexibility and ease of use.

May 25, 2006, Deerfield, IL USA. Woodhead Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:WDHD) recently introduced a new addition to its family of Woodhead® Lighting products. The Woodhead 360o Work Light provides high-intensity light in all directions to enhance worker safety and visibility in a host of industrial plant environments and temporary field applications. Typical applications might include wide area lighting in transportation equipment manufacturing plants, non-hazardous paint booths, residential construction finishing work and other general contracting operations.

Like all Woodhead Lighting products, the new 360o Work Light features rugged construction for reliable performance in even the harshest environments. Key features of the new product include:

Three 32-watt lamps (included) that meet OSHA 1929.56 for minimum illumination of work areas. The T8 fluorescent lamps are cool to the touch, more suitable for indoor use versus halogen work-lights.

Multi-functional lamp cap with impact-absorbing ribs and a clear PVC diffuser guard helps to protect lamps against breakage. The vertical ribbing diffuses light to reduce glare while maintaining high light output. An integral product hanger facilitates mounting or vertical storage.

The light's rugged base provides a 10 Amp un-switched convenience receptacle for use with auxiliary equipment or additional lights. The electronic ballast ensures reliable, long-term operation and NEMA 5-15 plug with integral cord clamp keeps cords neat and compact for easy storage.

The integral tripod stand adjusts position of the light to fit into any workspace, thereby, eliminating the need for a secondary mounting device. This sturdy, wide-based tripod provides exceptional stability and portability, and folds up completely when not in use.
