R. A. Jones Introduces the New LegendŽ L200 Cartoner
COVINGTON, Ky. R.A. Jones & Co. Inc., an IWKA company, is pleased to introduce the new LegendŽ Series L200 Cartoner, the first of Jones's innovative Legend series of standard products. The LegendŽ is a continuous motion, 4 chain carton transport machine, with the carton transport, barrel loader, bucket conveyor, carton feed and minor flap closing driven by servo motors.
Pre-engineered configurations of these machines mean minimal customization that result in shorter lead times and lower cost solutions. This cartoner will be offered with pre-engineered product handling and transfer systems to meet a wide range of industry application requirements. Speeds of up to 200 cartons per minute allows for a wide range of product options.
The LegendŽ Series L200 offers optimal flexibility with both right and left hand configurations. The overall base frame is 24'-5" in both the 9" and 12" center configurations with minimal changeover. The frame system is a welded stainless steel tubular hygienic design and will allow debris to fall through to the floor.
With a smooth and efficient rotary carton feed, simple hydraulic height adjustment and a 4 ft. powered magazine with controlled back pressure, the Legend can reach speeds of 200 cpm with 9" center and 160 cpm with a 12" center.
Standard features include Allen Bradley ControlLogix, user-friendly 15" PC based HMI flat panel color touch-screen, and Nordson ProBlue 7 gluing system with 2 guns. Optional is the overhead tamp system, 4-gun gluing system, cycle stop flap closing system, open flap detect/reject system. Transfer options include rotary vane transfers with incline bag infeeds, or with smart-belt infeeds; or overhead sweep (in-line or right-angle with smart belt infeed).
