Low-Inductance Polymer Capacitor has face down termination.

June 23, 2006 - Conductive Polymer T528 Series combines 9 or 12 milliohm ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) levels and high capacitance in 7.3 x 4.3 x 1.7 mm Z case size. This 330 µF, 2.5 V device features package design that offers minimal ESL (inductance). Initial offerings are suited for high-speed server and microprocessor decoupling.

KEMET Announces Release of a New Face Down Termination/Low Inductance Polymer Capacitor

GREENVILLE, S.C., May 22 -- KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM) today announced the launch of its new leading edge Face Down Termination/Low ESL Conductive Polymer Series.

The new Conductive Polymer T528 Series combines ultra low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and high capacitance in a new package design that offers the lowest ESL (inductance) in the market for this type of product. The initial offerings are targeted for high speed server and microprocessor decoupling -- designs that are driving the demand for low inductance chips.

The T528 will initially be offered in a "Z" case size: 7.3mm x 4.3mm x 1.7mm (L x W x H max). Two ESR levels of a 330 microfarad, 2.5volt device (12 and 9 milliOhm) are available, with additional part types and case sizes under development. Lead times for this new product are currently nine weeks.

"KEMET's entry into the low inductance, low ESR polymer market demonstrates our commitment to technology and innovation," said Per-Olof Loof, KEMET's Chief Executive Officer. "We are executing a clear strategy to engineer and develop next generation capacitance solutions that will meet and exceed our customers' needs."

Contact KEMET for additional details on these new products, or visit www.kemet.com for complete specifications and performance characteristics.
