Robust Diffusion Pump Achieves High Performance with Low Cost of Ownership
WILMINGTON, USA (22 May 2006) - BOC Edwards, a leader in vacuum pump manufacturing, has launched a new industrial diffusion pump, the HT16B. The pump has a machined cast aluminium interior for exceptional stability during operation, and a stainless steel body to prevent corrosion and ensure cleanliness. As a result of these improvements, the HT16B provides consistent long-term performance and reliability. The new heating installation and the half-power energy saving mode, further improves the ease of maintenance and helps to reduce the running costs.

The design of the interior and boiler assembly of the HT16B enables the pumps' performance and ultimate vacuum to be maintained between oil changes. The new pump also features a sight glass as standard equipment which enables operators to easily check the oil level of the pump without disturbing the integrity of the vacuum system.
The HT16B offers the highest throughput (up to 18mbar ls-1for nitrogen) and performance of any comparably sized pump.
