Enhanced High-Volume Printer Streamlines Productivity and Efficiency
PHILADELPHIA, May 16 / -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced at the AIIM ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition 2006 the introduction of the Ricoh HQ9000 Priport -- a fast-speed, cost efficient, high-volume digital duplicator solution. Replacing the JP8500, the HQ9000 delivers significant performance enhancements over its predecessor and is a reliable solution for production printing.
Expediting the printing process at 135 pages per minute (ppm) is only one of the outstanding benefits of the HQ9000. It also offers superb 600 dpi resolution and unrivaled reliability. The HQ9000 delivers prints remarkably close to high-end copying with spot color at a fraction of the cost. It is the ultimate solution for in-house print shops that produce documents at high volumes, require quality prints throughout the life of the printer, and desire a low total cost of ownership (TCO).
The high-quality prints the Ricoh HQ9000 Priport produces are made possible by a fast-drying "HQ ink" chemistry that reduces roller marks and stains and eliminates set-off. Additionally, the clarity is created by a new imaging technique that evenly penetrates ink on the paper, as well as Ricoh's exclusive dual cylinder technology and precise paper clamping system. To keep TCO at a reasonable level, the HQ9000 requires less ink than a high-speed copier, possesses a double-feed sensor that helps minimize misfeeds, has a highly reliable architecture, ensures maximum intervals between maintenance calls, and best of all utilizes several technologies that keep power consumption at a minimum.
The usual 8" x 11" documents are not the only print jobs that in-house print shops are required to perform. They also must often serve as a media center developing everything from 4" x 6" postcards to 11" x 17" newsletter stock, as well as envelopes, vellum and NCR (No Carbon Required) paper, all of which can be produced seamlessly by the HQ9000 Priport.
For even more professional quality prints, the HQ9000 can be accessorized with the Ricoh SeriPrinter model 25. Designed with a variable data print head option, the SeriPrinter model 25 enables the user to print two colors and both fixed and variable data in a single pass. The fast drying ink removes the wait time between passes for four-color jobs. Besides expanding the list of various printable documents, it also allows the user to personalize a document with three different types of information. The TC-IIR Digital Production Printer is another valuable tool that can be integrated with the HQ9000 Priport to save time and cut costs on multicolor jobs by printing two colors in one pass.
Working to make IT systems integration a simple process, Ricoh enabled the HQ9000 Priport to easily connect with any standalone computer or networked operating system with the Optional PostScript(R) 3 interface. Equipped with Web Image Monitor, SmartDeviceMonitor and DeskTop Binder utilities, the HQ9000 also makes everyday systems management easy and expeditious for the customer.
