Dornier Unveils the New Medilas D LiteBeam+ Laser

MIAMI, April 21 /-- Dornier MedTech America unveils the new Medilas D LiteBeam+ at the International Vein Congress in Miami on April 21st. The LiteBeam+ is a new generation laser combining Dornier's proven diode technology and 940 wavelength with a new ergonomic design and advanced intuitive user interface.

The Medilas D LiteBeam+ features a high-resolution touch sensitive color display that is simple to use and allows quick and easy adjustments to all treatment parameters. Treatment set-up is quick and easy using the predefined hot keys. Additionally, transporting the laser is easy due to its lightweight design and integrated handle.

The 30 watt Medilas D LiteBeam+ combined with a variety of thin, flexible fibers make this system ideal for a variety of applications including endovenous laser ablation and other surgical applications such as ENT. The laser comes equipped with the proprietary Lightguide Protection System (LPS) that automatically disables the laser if the sensor detects light emissions due to excessive heat at the tip. This feature helps prevent vein perforations. The system also offers a special fibertom cutting mode that ensures even cutting during surgical procedures by controlling the temperature of the fiber tip within set limits.

"We're excited to offer the new Dornier Medilas D LiteBeam+. We believe this higher power laser offers enhanced treatment flexibility not seen with other endovenous lasers. The addition of this new platform together with its advanced features will be appreciated by our customers," commented Brian Walsh, President of Dornier MedTech America, Inc.

Dornier MedTech is an innovative market leader in both the urology and medical-aesthetic laser markets. As the inventor of lithotripsy and pioneer of a variety of medical-aesthetic lasers, Dornier continues to develop advanced medical solutions. Dornier also offers urology imaging systems and orthopedic shock wave devices. As a global company, Dornier has operating units and service partners throughout the world.
