Miller's New Inferno Auto-Darkening Helmet Feature Hot, New Design

o Featuring Performance Series(TM) lenses
o Popular with professionals and home hobbyists

APPLETON, Wis., March 27, 2006 - Fans of auto-darkening welding helmets from Miller Electric, Mfg. Co will be fired up over the newest design to the Big Window Elite(TM) Series: the Inferno. Perfect for professionals and hobbyists alike, the Inferno provides the maximum viewing capacity, is lightweight, comfortable and offers unsurpassed light-state clarity and exceptional battery life.

"This is a professional, very capable, full-featured helmet with one of the most exciting graphic designs in the industry today! The Inferno's flames are as realistic as we have ever produced," states Tom Sommers, product manager, Miller Electric Mfg. Co. "The flames on top add an interesting element as they engulf a skull and then sweep through the Miller logo. The Elite Performance Series(TM) helmets continue to be one of the industries hottest sellers because of their professional-grade features and excellent value. The Inferno is very competitively priced at $309."

The Inferno is part of the Big Window Elite family and features a 30% larger viewing area than Miller's XLi and XLix Series lenses. The Elite has four independent arc sensors to provide continuous arc-sensing capability for demanding welding applications. The #4 ultra-clear "light-state" makes setup and repositioning of hands and parts more efficient while providing continuous UV and IR protection.

The Inferno features the Performance Series Lens technology, including replaceable batteries with solar assist for exceptionally long life (3,000 hours on MIG) with no recharging required. The Inferno easily handles low-amperage DC Inverter and TIG applications (5 amps and below) and has a reaction time of 1/20,000 second.

The Inferno helmet comes complete with 5 outside and 2 inside replacement cover lenses, and an exclusive fatigue reducing comfort cushion and helmet bag.
