JNJ Industries' Lead Eliminator Removes Toxic Heavy Metals, Helps RoHS Compliance
Franklin, Massachusetts, USA - As electronics manufacturers move toward RoHS compliance and transition to lead-free manufacturing, they're finding that even though they have removed the visible sources of lead from their soldering processes, traces of this invisible threat still linger on workbenches and other surfaces, as well as on incoming products for repair, tools, floors, and many other places. This lead, even in small amounts, poses a hazard not only to the health of assembly workers, but also to the lead-free process which cannot tolerate even small amounts of alloy contamination.
JNJ Industries' new patent-pending Lead Eliminator uses a combination of chelating agents and other ingredients to lift and remove lead and heavy metals from a variety of surfaces such as Formica (commonly found in workbenches), stainless steel and aluminum, Lexan and other polymers, as well as all materials found in and around SMT manufacturing lines, including painted surfaces and flooring. Ordinary cleaning with soap and water, liquid solvents, or industrial cleaners is not effective in lifting hazardous heavy metals. Lead Eliminator has very low toxicity.
JNJ Industries' Lead Eliminator employs a combined proprietary chemistry and wipe technology that is proven to pick up and remediate lead and other heavy metals from work surfaces, tools, etc. JNJ's tough, dual action remediation wipes and sprays effectively remove heavy metals, soil, and residue from affected surfaces.
Lead Eliminator is part of JNJ Industries' GlobalTech® family of environmentally responsible products. Lead Eliminator is available in saturated wipes with one abrasive side and one smooth side in 100-count canisters of 6" x 9" wipes, or in 1-pint spray bottles. Lead Eliminator is sold separately or as part of a lead remediation kit.
