WinRoute Firewall v6.2 includes Bandwidth Limiter, which acts as Quality of Service device that slows down Internet connection for heavy traffic users to make space for bandwidth-sensitive applications such as VoIP. Program scans VPN, web, FTP, and email traffic for viruses as it enters and leaves network. Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.2 throttles precious Internet bandwidth and introduces dual-antivirus gateway protection
SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 23 / -- Kerio Technologies, Inc. today announced that Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.2, its Windows gateway firewall and VPN package for SMBs, has further improved its robust feature set with Bandwidth Limiter and dual-engine antivirus protection.
Kerio WinRoute Firewall's new Bandwidth Limiter acts as a simple Quality of Service (QoS) device that slows down Internet connection for heavy traffic users to make space for bandwidth-sensitive applications such as VoIP. Individual bandwidth hogs are thus unable to cripple the network's resources with large file downloads or uploads. Bandwidth Limiter also allows network administrators to configure daily or monthly quotas for bandwidth usage.

With this option selected, all files passing through the firewall are scanned by both anti-virus software solutions for maximum security. Kerio WinRoute Firewall scans VPN, web, FTP and email traffic for viruses as it enters and leaves the network.
