Multipole VE2/MP Stop Gate with SmartStop(TM) technology facilitates sourcing, installation, and set up of power-and-free conveyor stops. It combines functionality of VE2 stopgate with pneumatic solenoid valve, embedded microprocessor, 3 proximity sensors, and LED indicators for control and feedback in self-contained package. Two 3-pin connector plugs provide 6 I/O connections, and error status signals sent to PLC facilitate monitoring and control.

Bosch Rexroth Corporation will display its new VE2/MP Stop Gate with SmartStop(TM) technology at the National Design Engineering Show, March 21-23, in Rosemont, IL, Booth # 18001
A new multipole conveyor stop gate from Bosch Rexroth vastly simplifies the sourcing, installation and set up of power-and-free conveyor stops used with Rexroth TS-style assembly conveyors. The VE2/MP stop gate combines the functionality of a VE2 stopgate with a pneumatic solenoid valve, an embedded microprocessor, three proximity sensors, and an array of LED indicators to provide extensive operations control and feedback in a self-contained package.
Previously, users had to purchase at least 10 separate components from different suppliers and combine them into a single operational system. With the new VE 2/MP from Rexroth, everything is contained in one functional direct-wire device, eliminating the time-consuming tasks related to complex system control installation, sensor adjustment and maintenance. The VE2/MP bolts quickly into the T-slot on the extruded aluminum conveyor profile; after that, an air tube and two 3-wire M8 electrical cables are all that's needed to get up and running. By removing the need for many of the externally supplied components, Rexroth saves system integrators and end-users hours in stop gate installation, as well as the time related to purchasing and receiving items from a variety of vendors.
The VE2/MP includes two 3-pin connector plugs that provide six I/O connections for greater control and feedback capability. In addition, eight LED displays provide visual indication to the operational status of the stop gate. This visual indication is extremely beneficial during initial setup and system diagnosis.
