IDEAL's New Laser Level Projects Ultra-Bright Laser Chalkline Up to 1500 Feet

SYCAMORE, IL, February 16, 2006 IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. today introduced
its Mini Magnetic Laser Level, the perfect partner when hanging cabinets, installing tiles, laying out conduit, aligning frames or other demanding jobs calling for a precise horizontal or vertical ("plumb") reference.

The Mini Magnetic Laser Level is built around premium quality vials that achieve exact measurement. And while comparatively priced models use 650nm diode lasers that may project a beam as skimpy as 30-feet, the IDEAL level boasts a sophisticated laser system featuring an ultra-bright 635nm diode. Because of this increased brightness, it has a working range of 650-feet during normal indoor conditions, 325-feet outside, and up to 1,500-feet in a darkened room.

Another distinct advantage of the IDEAL Mini Magnetic Laser Level is its use of Rare Earth magnets rather than less powerful strip magnets. This results in a more secure hold for the level on all magnetic surfaces, such as steel studs, pipe or conduit, and the virtual elimination of the drifting problems that can throw off an aligning, leveling or squaring reference. The Rare Earth magnets leave behind no marks, and enable the contractor to work hands-free for greater productivity.

Compact and easy to carry, the IDEAL Mini Magnetic Laser Level adds value with its cast aluminum body that is significantly stronger and more durable than competitors' plastic bodied levels. Plus, the IDEAL level has a built-in beam spreader for an easy transition between a dot projection and a line. Most other manufacturers require the contractor to purchase a separate beam spreader that not only is expensive but can be easily lost on a jobsite.

Contractors will appreciate the completeness of the IDEAL laser package. It includes a tripod, carrying case and 2 AAA batteries that give approximately 12 hours of continuous laser use. By using the tripod for setting up lines, the contractor will not need to mount the level with 3M Command strips or with the wall damaging retractable pins required by competitive models.

The IDEAL Mini Magnetic Laser Level is currently shipping with an MSRP of
$29.93 (U.S.).
