Nylon Pulleys dissipate static electric build up.
Nylon Pulleys dissipate static electric build up.

Nylon Pulleys dissipate static electric build up.

March 8, 2006 - Specifically designed and manufactured for static-sensitive applications, Pulleys and Accessories are made of nylon with PAN carbon fiber additives, which stop electrical charge build-up, dissipate charges from high-speed motion, provide grounding path, and prevent discharge to and from human contact. Built up of static electricity can cause end product loss and downtime in manufacturing and commercial applications.

New Line Of Nylon Pulleys To Dissipate Static Electric Build Up

Torque Transmission Offers a Wide Variety of Stock and Custom Products For Static-Electric Sensitive Applications

Fairport Harbor, OH - March 3, 2006 - Answering customers' needs for static-neutralizing products, Torque Transmission introduces a new line of pulleys and accessories specifically designed and manufactured for static-sensitive applications.
Static electricity is a function of high-speed mechanical motion, atmospheric conditions or location in an electrical field and builds up on surfaces of metal, alloys, plastics, fiberglass, rubber and textiles. Static electricity can cause end product loss and downtime in many manufacturing and commercial applications
and can be deadly in explosive environments.

Nylon is a great insulating material but with additives such as PAN carbon fibers abates static electricity in several ways:
o Stops electrical charge build-up.
o Dissipates charges from high-speed motion.
o Provides a grounding path.
o Prevents discharge to and from human contact.
o Provides additional structural strength.

"Static electricity is a huge problem in many sensitive manufacturing operations," explains Torque Transmission president, John Rampe. "In electronic product manufacturing only a few volts of static electricity can destroy static-sensitive components, such as computer chips. Our new line of specially engineered pulleys dissipates the static electricity so that static-related product defects, losses and
downtime are eliminated, " he added.
