KROHNE Offers the 3A Sanitary Approved OPTIFLUX 6000 Electromagnetic Flow Sensor

Ideal for sanitary and hygienic applications

KROHNE, Inc., a global technology leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost effective level and flow measurement products for the process industries, offers the OPTIFLUX 6000 electromagnetic flow sensor as an ideal solution for all hygienic applications in the pharmaceutical industry KROHNE's OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor has recently received 3A Sanitary Rating 28-03.

Fully suitable for simple and effective SIP (Steaming in Place) and CIP (Cleaning in Place), the OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor is FDA/3A approved and EHEDG certified. Capable of conductivity of non water > 1 µS/cm and water > 20 µS/cm, the OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor also offers cleaning temperatures, depending from the process connection, up to 150°C/300°F.

The OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor, operating in conjunction with the IFC 300 flow converter, offers a completely sanitary design in the highest quality stainless steel. With superior mesh support and an improved design with calculated stress points, the OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor maintains its shape through all operating conditions. The unique L-shaped gasket design with an innovative expansion chamber prevents expansion of the gasket into the measuring tube due to unidirectional compression. The OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor, with a wide diameter range, is ideal for large-scale production plants.

Part of KROHNE's OPTIFLUX family of nine electromagnetic flowmeter sensors, the OPTIFLUX 6000 flow sensor utilizes the IFC 300 flow converter and features unique 3 x 100% diagnostics providing maintenance and process engineers with continuous information on the state of the flowmeter, measurement, as well as notification of unnoticed application faults. These monitoring capabilities can lead to tremendous cost savings opportunities by quickly identifying performance and measurement issues. The 3 x 100% diagnostic capabilities include:

o 100% Application Diagnostics-Monitors the flow profile, high solids or entrained air in the flow stream, low fluid conductivity, and pipe conditions to identify any process- related problems adversely affecting flow measurement.

o 100% Accuracy Diagnostics -Monitors the flowmeter's performance and self checks the linearity and outputs for compliance with specifications, thereby eliminating the need for costly recalibration procedures.

o 100% Instrument Diagnostics- Self-checks the flow sensor for damage caused by incompatible liquids and or high temperature. Internal wiring is checked to detect short or open circuits, coil performance, electrode coating or corrosion, and/or electronic components drift.
