Designed for IBM 7014-T42 rack, Model 6858 Rear Door Heat Exchanger enables server density to be increased without increasing cooling requirement in computer room. Water-cooled unit removes up to 50,000 Btu/hr of heat from air exiting back of fully populated rack before it enters room. Rear door design attaches to customer-supplied water, using industry-standard fittings and couplings.

Designed to fit easily on to the IBM 7014-T42 Rack, the Rear Door Heat Exchanger (#6858) helps clients whose data centers have reached the limits of cooling capacity but still have space to add racks of systems. Improved cooling from the heat exchanger enables you to populate individual racks more densely, freeing valuable floor space without the need to purchase additional air conditioning units.
The heat exchanger is a more cost-effective solution than purchasing and installing additional air conditioning units.

Water-cooled heat exchanger door designed to dissipate heat generated from the back of your computer systems before it enters the room
Easy-to-mount rear door design that attaches to customer-supplied water, using industry-standard fittings and couplings
Up to 15 kW (approximately 50,000 Btu/hr) of heat removed from air exiting the back of a fully populated rack
