VoIP Applications Bundle combines Tenor® AS and BX lines of VoIP switches and gateways with Intel NetStructure® Host Media Processing software, which performs media processing tasks on general-purpose servers based on Intel® architecture without use of specialized hardware. Quintum Technologies Creates a VoIP Applications Bundle That Offers Quick and Cost-Effective Converged Communications Options to Customers
EATONTOWN, N.J., Feb. 14 / -- Quintum has established a new bundled offer that will feature a fully tested and interoperable solution utilizing the Quintum Tenor(R) AS and BX lines of VoIP switches and gateways and Intel NetStructure(R) Host Media Processing (HMP) Software. This offering, which will be available from Paracon, is targeted towards Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) who develop industry-standard, next-generation converged communication services utilizing voice and fax features based on Host Media Processing (HMP) from Intel and seek support of BRI and FXO/FXS connectivity.

HMP software from Intel performs media processing tasks on general-purpose servers based on Intel(R) architecture without the use of specialized hardware. When installed on a system, the software looks like an Intel Dialogic board with DM3 architecture to the customer application, but all media processing takes place on the host processor. The addition of Intel HMP software to Quintum's Switches and Gateways solution set helps to complete the available line of network access solutions.

- Intel NetStructure(R) Host Media Processing Software (4 ports of voice, call control, and RTP)
An additional bundle that includes the above items and 2 fax ports is available as well.
The Intel and Quintum bundle enables Paracon to offer pricing that will allow both ISVs and OEMs to offer an attractive base solution utilizing HMP from Intel and Quintum Tenor(R) AS and BX lines to their customer set.
