Leybold Vacuum USA Introduces Screwline SP250 Vacuum Pump for Use in Industrial Processes

Export, PA, February 9, 2006 - Leybold Vacuum USA has introduced the ScrewLine SP250, the next model in a line of oil-free gas compression screw type vacuum pumps for use in Industrial processes. The SP250 provides an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional oil-sealed piston vacuum pumps. The SP250 is rated for a pumping speed of 195 cfm and 7.5 x 10-3 torr vacuum.

"The new SP250 along with the larger capacity SP630 supports our customers over a wider spectrum of applications that require varying pumping speed capacities in the same industrial plant. ScrewLine also enables users to reduce operating costs through less frequent maintenance compared to traditional oil-sealed vacuum pumps while eliminating contamination of back oil migration and emissions," says Mario Vitale, Leybold Vacuum USA's Market Segment Manager.

The ScrewLine SP250 Difference
Advantages of the SP250 oil-free gas compression screw type vacuum pump include:
1) No emissions or back oil migration
2) Elimination of contaminated waste waters through air cooling
3) Lower maintenance and disposal costs
4) Less particle deflection and build-up with screw compression stage
5) Ability to accommodate boosters directly to achieve higher speeds at lower pressures.

The ScrewLine SP250 in Action
Typical uses for the SP250 in the industrial processing sector are vacuum degassing applications in aerospace, automotive, coatings, drying, electrical industry, food processing, industrial furnaces / metallurgy and leak testing applications.

In conjunction with Leybold's Ruvac® line of boosters, the SP250 can increase pumping speeds significantly while achieving oil-free gas compression in multiple vacuum pump stages.

A World Leader In Vacuum Technology
Leybold Vacuum USA engineers, produces and markets vacuum pumps for a wide variety of manufacturing and research applications, including industrial processing, food processing and packaging and semiconductor manufacturing.
