These innovative discs are proven to last up to six times longer than traditional media with a CD archival life of up to 300 years and a DVD archival life of up to 100 years. Laboratory tests prove Memorex Pro Gold Media to be resistant to the effects of rapid, artificial aging such as ultraviolet light, heat and humidity exposure thanks in part to gold's inert characteristics that prevent oxidation, a common cause of failure for most recordable media during long-term storage.

Memorex Pro Gold CD-R discs record at 52X speed and feature 700MB of data storage or 80 minutes of audio recording time. Memorex Pro Gold DVD-R discs record at 8X speed and hold 4.7GB of data or 120 minutes of video.

Pricing and Availability
Memorex Pro Gold Archival CD and DVD media will be available at several major retailers this April. Suggested retail prices for CD-R will be $11.99 for a three-pack with storage cases and $19.99 for a five-pack with storage cases. Suggested retail prices for DVD-R will be $14.99 for a three-pack with storage cases and $24.99 for a five-pack with storage cases.
