The New Eco-Graph T Displays, Logs, and Communicates Process Values

New Multi-Channel Display Announced

February 10, 2006, Greenwood, Indiana - Endress+Hauser, Inc. announces the new Eco-Graph T, a multi-channel process display. This new display offers leading edge technology at an affordable price. The Eco-Graph T is identified by its innovative features, simplicity in use, and space-saving design that enables it to deliver an unparalleled price to performance ratio when compared to existing paper recorders, data loggers, and process indicators/displays.

Instead of using six different universal mono-chrome displays, one counter/timer/status, and three different relays and their status lamps, one can simply install the cost and time-saving Eco-Graph T. The display offers a lower price per channel given single channel costs are less than $180.00 with each digital channel enabling up to 25Hz counting. One counter channel can also be used as an event alarm, an external recording cycle, to display operation time, and for recording start/stop, making it extremely flexible with a broad range of uses.

The new Eco-Graph T features an easy set-up with simple, step-by-step commissioning and graphic descriptions given in the instruction manual. Communication has never been more flexible with the Eco-Graph T given the numerous ports available including: a USB for service and data transfer to PC (standard), Ethernet for integration into plant-wide systems, RS485/RS232 for integration into existing networks, and a totally unique embedded web server for remote connectivity using an Internet browser (standard). This inbuilt web server allows the user to monitor from anywhere in the world on demand!

The signal display uses curve tracing with simultaneous and instantaneous value display, and the chronological event list with a time and date stamp can be very helpful in recording alarms, relays, power down times, etc. The front-end, LCD color display with large digits can be read in both a digital and bar-graph mode increasing its applicability, and its life is prolonged given that there are virtually zero running and maintenance cost without the use of mechanical and consumable (paper/pen) costs.

The new Eco-Graph T also features compact flash and internal memory with far greater reliability than paper recorders due to digital memory and the industrial grade flash card. Data is now lockable/sealable with storage cards that allow for a high level of security. The data can then be transferred without software with the use of the Comma Separated Value (CSV) format, which allows for direct opening in ASCII or a spreadsheet. The free ReadWinŽ 2000 software offers the option of protected data transfers (manipulation-free) if increased security is desired.

Potential applications for the new Eco-Graph T include but are not limited to the following: waste process monitoring (for example bioreactors); RO water systems for industrial or pharmaceutical use; tank level monitoring; breweries for monitoring filtration processes, fermentation processes, and in filling/washing machines; and dairy, juice, and whey cheese manufacturing.
